Arthur's Christening

Arthur was Christened in the Benedictine Church in New Norcia on Sunday last. He was a great little chap throughout. His Christening gown is a Lydon family heirloom. Its been used for 100 years - the first Lydon was Christenened in it in 1912. Hugh's Dad, Don, Hugh himsef and all of the cousins in the family have been Christened in it.
New Norcia, being a Benedictine community of monks, is related to Ampleforth in North Yorkshire, where Hugh went to school and Hugh and Mags were married two years ago.

Golf at The Vines

I drove out ot The Vines very early on Tuesday morning as the sun was rising to take part in the Ladies Invitation day there. It was a stunning sunrise - around 5 degrees so really cold (!), haze rising from the lakes and fields and low cloud picking up the colours of the sunrise. Beautiful. And I was sixth in the comp. Good day allround!
